Ticket Scout Browser Extension Now Available

Ticket Scout is now available for Chrome and Edge browsers. This extension highlights ticket numbers on web pages and provides instant lookups when connected to your PSA.

If you're tired of manually copying ticket numbers to search in your PSA or losing context while switching between tools then this browser extension may be just what you were looking for and didn't know you wanted.

I created it to solve my own frustrations and wanted to share with the rest of the community.

Install Ticket Scout from the Chrome Web Store

The Problem

Ticket numbers are scattered across emails, documentation, and chat messages. Looking up ticket details means switching tabs, searching in your PSA, and losing your place in what you were doing. Support desk staff, engineers, project managers, and team leads all face the same friction.

What You Get Out of the Box

Install the extension and ticket numbers are automatically highlighted with red boxes on these sites:

  • Outlook Web (outlook.office.com) - Patterns like ticket #123456 or Ticket:234567
  • Microsoft Teams Web (teams.microsoft.com) - Patterns like #123456 or Ticket 12345
  • ConnectWise sites (*.connectwise.com, *.myconnectwise.net) - Patterns like 123456 or Service Ticket #123456
  • Huntress (*.huntress.io) - Pattern #123456

You can add custom patterns and domains in the settings. See the Regex Patterns Guide for details.

Connect Your PSA for Full Features

Connect to ConnectWise Manage to unlock ticket lookups. Hover over any highlighted ticket number to see a popup with ticket summary, company, status, assignee, priority, board, and type (many more available fields). Click the ticket number to open a sidebar with full details and related tickets from the same company.

I have a few things planned for future feature releases, but community feedback will help determine the priority and release schedule.
